Kristi Deason Hagood
Kristi’s experience as a working mom has taken many forms over the years, from full-time work with a baby in daycare, to part-time work from home, to stepping away from paid work to care for aging parents. She believes that having it all is possible—but not all at once—and that flexibility and patience are key. Through every phase, Kristi has remained committed to both her family and her calling.
She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2000 and has spent nearly 25 years practicing law, primarily as a criminal prosecutor. She is licensed in both Alabama and Louisiana and has served in the Attorney General’s Offices of both states. Since 2017, Kristi has worked for the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office, focusing on the Child Advocacy Unit and the Elder Abuse/Financial Crime Unit. In these roles, she prosecutes some of the county’s most sensitive and complex cases, advocating for children, seniors, and vulnerable victims with strength and compassion. Her work often involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to pursue justice and protect those who cannot protect themselves.
